Workwize Reviews: Is It Worth It for Remote Teams in 2026?

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Workwize automates HRIS-driven IT logistics more deeply than almost any rival, and that is the honest reason to buy it. Reviewers describe HiBob, Jamf, Workday and Okta connections that trigger onboarding without a ticket.
  • Criticism clusters in three places: delivery and retrieval outside the United States, portal and inventory accuracy, and a total cost that reviewers say exceeds the quote.
  • Entry is gated, so fit is not the only question. The Basic plan requires 150 users, meaning a 60-person or 120-person company cannot buy it at all.
  • Tequipy is the alternative worth pricing next to it: no seat minimum, no contract, hardware at recommended retail price in 180+ countries, and lifecycle services charged per event.

Anyone reading Workwize reviews in 2026 runs into the same problem. The scores look uniformly good, then the sources turn out to be uneven. Seventeen of them sit on a profile where the vendor invited every reviewer and offered an incentive, and the site with the most organic sample gives the lowest score.

This review separates those layers: what Workwize does well, what its own customers name as weak, the pricing behind the complaints, and a method for reading the review sites yourself. The alternative named near the end is our own product, so treat that section as a vendor argument and follow the links.

Workwize and Tequipy at a Glance

Dimension Workwize Tequipy
Best for Teams already past 150 seats, weighted towards the US, that want HRIS automation. Under 150 seats the entry plan is closed. Distributed teams of any size buying devices locally, from 1 device to 5,000
Standout feature HRIS and MDM automation across 100+ connections Local sourcing through 600+ in-country authorized resellers
Price Quote only. Vendr sees $8 to $18 per employee. One Professional quote we saw: €19.50 a seat, monthly. Platform $99 a month flat at any fleet size, free under 100 devices. $99 a month above that. Services billed per event.
Pros Deep automation, SOC 2 Type II, vendor consolidation, liked account reps Retail-price hardware, no contract, three-day average delivery, one Slack channel

Security SOC 2 Type II ISO 27001, Blancco certified wipes, chain of custody per device

Who Is Workwize Best For?

Workwize homepage for global IT asset management

Workwize is an Amsterdam company founded in 2020, with a New York office and $13 million in Series A funding raised in January 2025. Its own materials claim 120,000+ devices managed. The review base points to three groups who get their money's worth:

  • Companies that want HR events to move hardware automatically. This is the strength that shows up most often and most consistently.
  • Teams whose people cluster in the United States. US-specific praise is the only geographic pattern that repeats across positive and critical reviews alike.
  • Buyers replacing several regional vendors with one contract. One customer describes going "from working with three vendors across the globe to one singular place", per a vendor-invited Capterra review.
  • Security reviews that require SOC 2 Type II. Workwize's own security page states the platform is SOC 2 Type II attested, and the company announced completing that audit in June 2026. Some procurement processes treat it as non-negotiable.

Everyone else meets a wall before the evaluation even starts. The Workwize pricing page sets a 150-user minimum on the Basic plan, and the company FAQ states that Workwize "has been designed for companies with 150 FTE and up". A 90-person business hiring across eight countries falls outside the product.

Tequipy: An Alternative

The Tequipy platform homepage for distributed IT teams

Tequipy came out of Revolut, where a co-founder led IT while headcount went from 100 people in 2 offices to 5,000 across 17. The platform serves the same job as Workwize and prices it in the opposite direction:

  • Nothing to sign. No contract, no seat minimum, no setup fee, no exit fee. Onboarding finishes inside 24 hours.
  • Devices at market price. An authorized reseller in the employee's country supplies each order across 180+ countries, and delivery averages 3 business days.
Item Tequipy price
Platform under 100 devices Free
Platform at 100 devices or more $99 monthly, flat, whatever the fleet size
HRIS integration $199 monthly, optional
Hardware Retail price, with delivery included
Offboarding and redeployment $70 to $150 for each device moved
Storage $12 monthly for every device held
Sellback Cash back worth 20% to 70% of original value

Workwize Key Features

Four capabilities carry most of the product, and the review evidence treats them very differently from one another.

HRIS and MDM Automation

This is what Workwize is genuinely best at. The pricing page advertises more than 100 HRIS connections, covering Workday, HiBob, BambooHR, Personio, Rippling, Okta and Entra ID, alongside MDM links to Jamf, Intune and JumpCloud. A consulting reviewer sums up the effect: "We've hooked up HiBob and Jamf to Workwize, and now everything just works. New hires get their stuff automatically, and offboarding happens without anyone from IT getting involved", per October 2025 G2 review.

A financial-services reviewer confirms the same at enterprise scale: "It connects smoothly with Workday and Okta, which saves a ton of manual work", per November 2025 G2 review. If your evaluation is really about removing tickets from the HR-to-IT handoff, this is the category benchmark.

Warehouses and Two Ordering Routes

Workwize keeps 14 warehouse hubs, listed on its FAQ as the EU, UK, US, Canada, Mexico, India, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Singapore, Costa Rica, the Philippines, Japan and the UAE. Orders either come out of stock your company pre-purchased and parked there, or get sourced through a partner reseller in the destination country.

The two routes behave differently. Warehouse orders carry a 1 to 5 working day target, while supplier-network orders carry no published timeline at all. That gap explains much of the delivery criticism further down.

Retrieval, Certified Wiping and Resale

Offboarding pickup, certified data wiping and disposal all sit inside the platform, and Workwize states a 100% hardware retrieval rate on its FAQ. Resale is advertised as recovering up to 45% of a device's original value. A Capterra reviewer says "the recovery of devices is a game changer for us", per a vendor-invited review, while a mid-market G2 reviewer had the opposite experience abroad: "Device collection and destruction on a global scale was painful", per December 2024 review.

Employee Self-Service Store

Staff order their own equipment from a branded catalogue, which keeps requests out of the IT queue. One reviewer wants more control: "customization of the employee storefront is somewhat limited", per June 2025 G2 review. There is no mobile app, and phone approvals are described as "a bit clunky."

Workwize Pricing

No price appears anywhere on the website. The pricing page lists Basic, Professional and Enterprise, ties each to a number of regions, and sends every figure to a sales call.

Plan Regions Minimum users Published price
Basic 3 of 7 150 Quote only
Professional 5 of 7 Contact sales Quote only
Enterprise All 7 Contact sales Quote only

Two outside figures fill the blank. Vendr, an aggregator working from transaction data, puts the platform fee between $8 and $18 per employee for businesses in the 50 to 500 headcount band. Separately, a Professional-tier quote reached our team at €19.50 for each seat every month, which annualises to €35,100 across 150 seats. Hardware bills separately on top, and one former customer puts the markup at around 30%. Our full breakdown sits in the Workwize pricing guide.

Workwize Positives

  • Automation that removes real headcount work: the single most repeated theme across G2 and Capterra, and the reason most satisfied customers stay.
  • Governance and audit value: an enterprise reviewer points to "full traceability which is crucial for our internal audits and ISO 27001 compliance", per July 2025 G2 review.
  • People customers like: account reps get praised even inside critical reviews. The harshest reviewer on Trustpilot still concedes that "the team members themselves are friendly."
  • A working US service: a three-star Capterra reviewer who criticised the international experience wrote plainly that "The service worked well in the US", per a vendor-invited review.

Workwize Negatives

  • Service quality falls away outside core markets: a mid-market reviewer writes that "If you are trying to use these services in the EU, Australia, India, or South America you should wait until their product and processes are more matured", per December 2024 G2 review. Another reports that "courier pick ups for returned devices are slower in LATAM", per June 2025 review.
  • Too few depots for the country count: a five-star enterprise reviewer says outright, "We need more depots worldwide to ensure that we deliver assets to our end users on time", per May 2025 G2 review.
  • Asset records that disagree with reality: an IT admin found "some bugs in some of the pages like in asset management some machines appear as some other asset", per May 2025 G2 review. On Reddit, a former customer calls the portal "underdeveloped, inconsistent and buggy", per November 2025 comment.
  • A bill bigger than the quote: the same Reddit customer writes, "Prices that we were initially quoted didn't include the total costs, which just felt very deceptive."
  • Slow starts: implementation running "months longer than anticipated" appears in the two-star G2 review, and a Capterra reviewer reports it "took several weeks to get items added to the catalog", per a vendor-invited review.

Customer Reviews

Ratings depend heavily on where you look. G2 gives 4.4 out of 5 across 9 reviews and Capterra 4.4 across 17, both as of August 2026. Trustpilot gives 3.8 across 11 as of August 2026, and its distribution is unusual: ten five-star ratings, one at a single star, nothing in the middle. Software Advice, which mirrors the Capterra set, scores functionality lowest of its four sub-scores at 3.8 out of 5.

One positive. An enterprise reviewer credits Workwize with "centralized governance of all our IT assets globally" and says onboarding across countries went from weeks and multiple vendor touchpoints to something auditable, per July 2025 G2 review.

Two negatives. The two-star G2 review from a mid-market software company is the most detailed one on record: "Services provided globally very rarely met the assured SLA, let alone averaged it... We are talking weeks delay," plus "we would constantly have to pester our account rep", per December 2024 review. On Trustpilot, a US buyer lists "Excessively long SLA times", "Poor platform reliability (missing entries, inconsistent data)", "Returned devices downgraded (e.g., reduced RAM)" and "Devices arriving with hardware faults (e.g., broken Wi-Fi modules)", per October 2025 review.

Pro tip: sort the reviews by who asked for them before you read a single one. Open the Capterra profile and look for the line "Vendor Referred, Incentive Offered" under each review. On Workwize's profile it appears on all 17. Now do the same on G2, where each entry shows Organic, Seller invite or G2 invite. Write two columns, organic and solicited, and put every review in one of them.

Then recalculate the average using the organic column only, and read those reviews in full. Ratings built mostly from invitations tell you the vendor runs a review programme. Ratings built from people who arrived on their own tell you what using the product feels like. Run this on every vendor you shortlist, because the gap between the two numbers varies enormously and it is invisible in the headline score.

Workwize Overall

Workwize is a real product with a real strength and a narrow proven zone. If your headcount sits mainly in the United States, you are comfortably past 150 seats, and your business case rests on HR events triggering hardware automatically, the reviews say it delivers. Support is warm, consolidation works, and SOC 2 Type II clears most security questionnaires.

The picture changes as the map widens. Delivery, retrieval and disposal each cover fewer countries than the headline count, and the criticism follows that shrinking footprint. Even a satisfied five-star customer notes Workwize is "not located in all countries we currently have employees", per a vendor-invited Capterra review. Add the seat gate and the hardware markup, and the product suits a specific shape of company.

How to Choose IT Asset Management Software

Three checks separate vendors in this category faster than any feature grid.

Ask for Coverage per Service, per Country

Country counts describe shipping. They rarely describe repair, retrieval or disposal, and those are the services your offboarding process depends on. Ask for a written grid that lists your own hiring countries down one side and every service across the top, then find the narrowest row. Tequipy runs procurement, repair and recovery through local partners where each employee lives, so the three maps match. RemoFirst recovers devices across 30 countries on that model, with 100% of devices returned and around $2,000 per employee in prevented losses.

Price the Whole Year, Then Price Leaving

Seat fees, hardware margin, shipping charges and minimum terms move independently, so a headline rate settles nothing. Model twelve months at your real volume, then ask what a mid-term headcount cut does to the bill. Our platform costs $99 monthly whether you run 100 devices or 5,000, services bill as they occur, and no contract exists to exit. TapTap Send removed around $6,500 a month by consolidating three purchasing processes.

Test the Vendor Before You Trust the Average

A demo shows the software. One real onboarding in your most awkward country shows the operation. Booksy did exactly that, starting in Latin America where its previous setup struggled most. Its published result is 99% delivery ahead of each new joiner's first day, plus 3,200+ hours of IT admin saved. Any vendor that cannot take a single test order is asking you to buy on trust.

Alternative To Workwize: Tequipy

Tequipy dashboard showing devices across their lifecycle

We built Tequipy for companies whose hiring map refuses to stay tidy. There is no seat threshold to clear, hardware bills at the price the local market charges, and the services attach to devices you already own regardless of who sold them.

Tequipy Key Features

Local Procurement in 180+ Countries

Every order goes to an authorized reseller inside the employee's own country, drawn from a network of 600+ partners. Nothing crosses a border outside the EEA, so import duties never enter the invoice and delivery averages 3 business days, capped at 10. Our global IT procurement service reaches every country except Russia, Belarus and North Korea.

Configuration Before Dispatch

Devices are enrolled in Apple Business Manager or Windows Autopilot before they ship, at no extra charge when bought through us, and your own MDM then takes over from there. Tequipy is not an MDM and does not connect directly to Jamf or Intune. New hires open a machine that is already managed, which is what zero-touch deployment means in practice. Gigs, at 100 employees, recovered 100+ hours a month of logistics work this way and avoided a $60,000 to $80,000 hire.

Recovery, Storage and Resale on Demand

When someone leaves, a courier collects the device, we check its condition, run a Blancco certified wipe, and then store, redeploy or sell it. Each step has its own published price and bills only when used. Our laptop retrieval service sends up to five escalating emails to an unresponsive leaver before the job returns to your team. Redeploying a stored machine runs about $180 to $240 all in, against $1,500 to $2,500 to buy a replacement.

Tequipy Pricing

Item Price
Platform Nothing below 100 devices, then a flat $99 each month
HRIS integration An optional $199 each month
Hardware Retail price or better, no markup added
Pre-configuration Included at no charge when you buy the device
Offboarding $70 to $150, depending on the country
Storage $12 a month per stored device, charged pro-rata
Redeployment $70 to $150 to send a stored device out again
Sellback Between 20% and 70% of value, returned as cash

Where Tequipy Shines

  • The same service in every country: procurement, repair and recovery run on local ground everywhere we operate, so the difficult markets get the standard workflow rather than an exception. Deliveries have reached the Philippines, Colombia and wartime Ukraine.
  • Numbers we track and publish: TapTap Send records 100% device recovery and 40+ hours a month returned to its team, on top of the monthly saving above.
  • Nothing to unwind: a trial is one purchase order. If it disappoints, you stop, and no renewal date sits in the calendar.

Where Tequipy Falls Short

  • No leasing or renting, anywhere: Workwize offers device rental as well as purchase. Tequipy sells devices outright at retail price and owns none of them for you. A finance team that needs hardware as an operating expense will get a better answer elsewhere. We do extend a $5,000 credit line, payable within 7 calendar days of delivery, and it functions the way a purchase order does.
  • Fewer native integrations, and SOC 2 still pending: Workwize wins on both. Its integration catalogue is larger, and it reports SOC 2 Type II attestation while ours is in progress. Tequipy holds ISO 27001, is GDPR compliant and hosted in Europe, and provides penetration test reports on request.

What Tequipy Customers Say

Our own G2 profile shows 4.8 out of 5, drawn from 3 reviews as of August 2026. It is a small sample, and two of those reviewers sit at companies over 1,000 staff. One says "it really stands out that I don't need to have a local IT department in every country we operate in", per July 2026 review. A reviewer in financial services calls the platform "a reliable source of truth" for equipment, per July 2026 review.

Named customers say more. Lisa Kiseleva at Gigs is quoted on the case studies page: "They're hands-down one of the most responsive and solution-oriented teams I've worked with." Lera Lykholiet at RemoFirst says that "now we don't have to worry about device logistics at all."

Who Tequipy Is Best For

  • Companies below any competitor's seat minimum: 20 people or 2,000, the terms are identical.
  • Teams hiring where other vendors make exceptions: LATAM and Southeast Asia run on the standard process here, and the only countries left out anywhere are Russia, Belarus and North Korea.
  • IT teams of one: all of remote equipment management moves to one supplier and one shared Slack channel, from ordering through to resale.
  • Buyers leaving a subscription at renewal: our services work on devices bought anywhere, so nothing has to be migrated first.

CONCLUSION

The Final Word on Workwize Reviews

Read as a whole, Workwize reviews describe a strong automation product inside a service footprint narrower than its marketing suggests. For a US-weighted company past 150 seats with an HRIS-driven business case, it earns the price. Get the quote, ask for the per-service coverage grid, and read the organic reviews rather than the average.

For everyone else, the gate settles it before the features do. If you sit under 150 seats, or your people are spread across regions the plan does not include, put a real order through Tequipy while the other evaluation runs. Send us your country list, check the published rates, and compare the two invoices when they land.

FAQ
