KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Asset tracking is free, logistics is not. The free tier covers the register, integrations and reports for unlimited users and assets, with no ordering, delivery or retrieval.
- Pro costs $300 a month or $3,500 a year and unlocks the logistics services, but only in two geographies, and single sign-on is not included.
- Enterprise is quoted privately. One buyer who evaluated Dots told us the platform fee came to $3,000 a month, before any hardware or service work.
- Tequipy is built for globally distributed teams that want every rate on a public page: $99 a month flat at any fleet size (free under 100 devices), $70 to $150 to collect a device, $12 a month to store one.
Dotstech pricing looks simple from the outside. There is a free plan, a $300 plan and a plan with a "Talk to Sales" button. The trouble starts when finance asks what a year will actually cost, because the plan fee is only the entry ticket. Hardware, retrieval and storage are billed separately, and none of those rates appear on the public site.
Even paying customers run into this. A Dots user in telecommunications wrote in a February 2026 G2 review that "There's no price estimate shown in the catalog; you only see it after you submit an order request." This guide lists every figure Dots publishes, names the ones it does not, and sets the result beside our own rate card.
How Much Does Dots Cost?

Dots sells three plans. The plan decides which services you may order and in how many countries. It does not decide what those services cost, because every order is billed on top of the plan. The rows below come from the Dots pricing page and its delivery FAQ, as recorded in our competitor file in June 2026.
| Item | What Dots publishes |
|---|---|
| Free plan | $0. Asset tracking, integrations, dashboards and reports for unlimited users and assets. No logistics |
| Pro plan | $300 a month, or $3,500 a year. Logistics in 2 geographies, account manager, "Faster SLAs", 30-day free test drive |
| Enterprise plan | Custom. All supported geographies, "Priority SLAs", single sign-on, financing, wire payments |
| Hardware | Not published. Price appears inside the platform after an order request |
| Retrieval | Not published. A fixed fee per workstation for signed-agreement clients |
| Storage and redeployment | Not published |
| Minimum order | None published |
Tequipy: An Alternative

This part is about us, so read it as a supplier describing its own prices and check the links. Our co-founder was Head of IT at Revolut while the company grew from 100 employees to 5,000 across 17 offices. Tequipy is the process he wished he had bought back then.
What it covers today:
- Devices at recommended retail price, delivery included. A $1,800 MacBook costs $1,800.
- 180+ countries through 600+ local resellers, so each laptop is bought inside the employee's country. Our page on global device procurement in 180+ countries lists how the reseller network is organised.
- Three business days on average, ten at most.
- 99% of devices arrive before the start date, the figure reported in the Booksy case study.
- ISO 27001 certified, with single sign-on for every customer, through Google, Microsoft or Okta. There are no plan tiers to climb.
Every Tequipy rate sits on the Tequipy pricing page. The table keeps like with like: service prices in one row, access fees in another.
| Item | Dots | Tequipy |
|---|---|---|
| Service prices | Hardware and per-workstation retrieval billed per order. No rates published | Devices at retail price, retrieval $70 to $150, storage $12 a month, redeployment $70 to $150, sellback free |
| Platform fee | Free for tracking only. Pro $300 a month for 2 geographies. Enterprise quoted | $99 a month flat at any fleet size, free under 100 devices. Optional HRIS sync $199 a month |
| Minimum to start | None published, but logistics needs a paid plan | None |

You can check our numbers against your own year. Our pricing calculator starts with two inputs: the number of employees who hold a device, and whether you use an HRIS. Then it asks for yearly counts: new hires, offboardings, servicing jobs, redeployments, devices in storage and sellbacks.
The last fields describe your current vendor: its hardware markup, its monthly platform fee and its monthly fee per device. For a Dots customer, the Pro or Enterprise fee goes in the platform field. The result is a full year on both sides.

Dots Pricing Plans: A Breakdown
The three plans differ in access, not in rates. Free gives you the register. Pro and Enterprise give you the right to order logistics work, in two geographies or in all of them. Below the plans sits a second layer that every paying customer meets: the hardware price and the fee for each service used.
Free ITAM Tier
The free tier is a real product, and it deserves credit. It tracks every asset for unlimited users, connects to the HRIS and MDM tools a company already runs, and produces dashboards and reports. There is no device cap and no time limit.
What it does not do is move anything. There is no procurement, no delivery, no remote onboarding or offboarding and no warehousing. A team that only wants to leave its spreadsheets behind can stop here. A team that needs a laptop in Dubai next week cannot.
Pro Plan
Pro costs $300 a month on monthly billing or $3,500 on yearly billing, with a 30-day free test drive. It adds the Global Logistics Services: buying assets, delivery, remote onboarding and offboarding, warehousing and custom integrations. It also adds a dedicated account manager, "Faster SLAs" and a bidding pool of "more than 2 vendors" for each hardware order.
The limit that matters is geography. Pro allows procurement in only two geographies. Single sign-on is not part of the plan either.
The plan page also lists services as access rather than usage. It does not say how many orders, collections or storage months the $300 includes. The delivery FAQ confirms that retrieval carries its own fee, so the fee opens the door and each service is billed after that.
Enterprise Plan
Enterprise has no public price. It adds procurement in every supported geography, "Priority SLAs", a bidding pool of four to five or more vendors, "Optimized Pricing" on retrieval, storage and end-of-life assets, financing options, wire payments and single sign-on.
The only Enterprise figure we hold comes from one buyer. A team that evaluated Dots told us the quote was a $3,000 monthly platform fee, and added "for having access to a portal, that's a bit too much". That is $36,000 a year before a single device ships.
Treat it as one buyer's quote, not a price list. Enterprise pricing is negotiated, so your number can be higher or lower. The practical point stands: most distributed teams need more than two geographies, so most serious evaluations end in an Enterprise conversation.
Hardware and Per-Service Fees
Hardware is priced per order through the bidding pool. Dots says costs are calculated on its platform and shown upfront. In practice the price appears inside the platform after an order request, and the public site shows none. A current Dots customer in Dubai told us "Dots take more", meaning more than the retail price, without putting a figure on it.
Retrieval is a fixed fee per workstation that covers pickup, a technical inspection and device wiping. The amount is not published. Storage and redeployment carry no public rate at all.
Tequipy prices laptop retrieval for departing employees at $70 to $150 per device, depending on the country. Enrolment into your MDM through zero-touch deployment before shipping is free on our devices. We ran the same exercise in Firstbase pricing, broken down by fee.
Dots Hidden Costs & Additional Fees
Nothing in the public record shows Dots concealing a charge. The issue is that most charges are unpublished, which makes a budget hard to build before a sales call. An unpublished fee and a hidden fee are different things, and this section deals only with the first kind.
- The geography cap pushes most buyers to Enterprise. Pro covers two geographies. A company hiring across more than two geographies needs the plan that has no public price.
- Services are billed on top of the plan. The $300 buys access. Each retrieval then carries its own per-workstation fee, and the plan page names no included volume.
- Hardware prices appear late. The price shows after an order request, so a buyer cannot compare a laptop in two countries before starting an order.
- Single sign-on needs Enterprise. Elior A., an IT manager, wrote in a January 2026 G2 review that SSO below Enterprise is "a basic security requirement" for his team. For a security-led buyer, that turns a $300 plan into a quote.
- The wipe step may stay with your IT team. A team that evaluated Dots told us Dots required IT to wipe devices before collection. Tequipy wipes at its own facility after pickup.
Pro tip: ask Dots one question in writing before the first demo. "What does the plan fee include in usage, and what is the per-workstation retrieval fee in our three largest countries?"
Then price the same laptop in the same country on both platforms in the same week. Write down four figures: the device total with delivery, the retrieval fee, the monthly storage rate and the plan or platform fee at your real fleet size. The time each vendor takes to answer is also worth recording.
Dots Pros & Cons
Price decides less than it seems in this category. Here is what the plan fee buys and where it stops, limited to what the evidence in our competitor file supports.
Pros
- A free register with no device cap. Unlimited users and assets at $0 is generous, and G2 reviewers who use Dots mainly for tracking say it works.
- Integrations that reviewers praise by name. HiBob, BambooHR, Jamf, Microsoft Intune, JumpCloud and Okta are all listed. Elior A. wrote in his G2 review that "Integrations with Jamf and HiBob went smoothly".
- Support in Slack. Roughly half the G2 reviews praise responsiveness. Tequipy also supports customers in Slack, so this is a shared standard rather than a gap between the two.
- A trial and flexible billing on Pro. A 30-day free test drive, monthly billing and no published minimum order. No minimum is Tequipy's term as well, so the comparison comes down to rates.
Cons
- Two geographies on Pro. The cheapest logistics plan fits very few distributed teams.
- Single sign-on only on Enterprise. Security teams usually ask for SSO first.
- No public service or hardware rates. Nothing beyond the plan fee can be forecast from the website.
- Delivery times vary. Dots quotes 24 hours where it has local presence and up to 8 days elsewhere. Boris S., an IT manager, noted in a January 2026 G2 review that "Sometimes there are unexplained delays in Deliveries".
- Buyback is uncertain. A team that evaluated Dots told us the company was not fully confident it could sell every device.
Most of these points are about scope, and scope is easier to judge once the whole device loop is written down. We describe that loop in how remote equipment management works, and service by service under IT asset lifecycle management.
Who Is Dots Best For?
Company size is the wrong way to sort this. The plans are shaped by what you need to move and where. So the three readers below are sorted by that.
Persona #1: You Only Need Free Asset Tracking
If nobody asks you to ship a laptop, the free tier is hard to beat. It replaces the spreadsheet, syncs with your MDM and HRIS, and costs nothing for any number of assets. Tequipy's platform is free under 100 devices, so above that size, for tracking alone, Dots is the cheaper option. Stay there until the first request to move a device arrives.
Persona #2: You Ship to Two Geographies at Most
A company hiring in its home market and one other country fits inside Pro. At $3,500 a year that is a fair price for logistics access plus an account manager. Set it beside Tequipy's $99 a month, which is $1,188 a year, and remember that both sides still charge for the services used. On that profile the difference is small, and service rates decide it.
Persona #3: Your Hiring Crosses Many Countries
Once a team needs a third geography, Pro stops working and the Enterprise quote begins. This reader should ask for the platform fee and the retrieval fee in writing, then total a year. The one Enterprise figure we hold is $36,000 a year for access alone. We cover planning for scattered hiring in providing laptops to employees and in remote asset management for distributed teams.
Dots Customer Reviews
Dots holds 4.7 from 22 reviews on G2, as of June 2026. On Trustpilot it scores 4.6, from reviews that are almost all five stars, with a company reply on each, which suggests they were requested. There is no Capterra, TrustRadius or GetApp profile, so G2 is the independent record.
Positives
The praise centres on people and integrations. Shay F., a senior IT manager, wrote in a February 2026 G2 review that "Their team is responsive, professional, and understands our needs". Adil S. named "the Slack channel for immediate support" in a March 2026 G2 review.
Notice what is missing. None of the reviews in our file praises the price. For a pricing decision, that silence is information: customers stay for the service and the integrations, and the cost does not come up.
Complaints
The negatives are few, and each rests on one or two reviews. The price visibility complaint quoted at the top of this guide is the one closest to money. The SSO gap and the delivery delays each appear in two reviews at most.
Sandra M., an IT manager, listed the cost of delivery from a Dots warehouse as a dislike in a January 2026 G2 review, without naming a figure. Liron B. wrote in an April 2024 G2 review that "The platform could benefit from expanding its selection of products."
With 22 reviews in total, two mentions is about one reviewer in ten. That is enough to ask about in a demo, and not enough to call a pattern.
Alternative to Dots: Tequipy
Dots and Tequipy both offer free tracking, Slack support and no published minimum. The two differences are in how prices reach the buyer and in where the plan lets you work.
Every service rate is published. Device price, collection fee, storage, redeployment and sellback all sit on one public page, next to a calculator. A finance lead can total a year without booking a call, and the offboarding range already covers the most expensive country.

No plan tiers and no geography cap. One flat platform fee covers every country we serve, three countries, fifteen, or more. Single sign-on, integrations and the full lifecycle come with it, and the fee does not rise as you add markets.

| Item | Dots | Tequipy |
|---|---|---|
| Service prices | Hardware and retrieval quoted per order, no public rates | Retail-price devices, retrieval $70 to $150, storage $12 a month, redeployment $70 to $150, sellback free |
| Platform fee | Pro $300 a month for 2 geographies, Enterprise quoted | $99 a month flat at any fleet size, free under 100 devices |
| Minimum to start | None published, paid plan needed for logistics | None |
Named customers show what the rates produce. RemoFirst collected devices across 30 countries and recovered about $2,000 per employee in equipment. Gigs skipped a dedicated logistics hire and saved more than 100 hours a month. When a contractor leaves, the steps for recovering equipment from terminated employees apply on either platform.
Two caveats. Our SOC 2 audit is still in progress, so ask the team for its current status. We also have fewer public reviews than Dots, which is why this section leans on named customers.

CONCLUSION
Does Dots Pricing Fit Your Budget?
It fits if you only need a free asset register, or if your hiring sits in two geographies and the Pro plan covers both. On either profile Dots is a sound choice, and staying is reasonable.
It fits less well when hiring crosses several countries, when security requires single sign-on, or when finance wants a forecast before a sales call. In that case, get the Enterprise fee and the retrieval fee in writing, then run the same year through our calculator. Start from the Tequipy homepage for global teams, read all Tequipy rates in one place, or ask the Tequipy team directly.
